Job Summary

The Account Manager leads, owns, and drives the strategy and execution of account sales opportunities for allocated accounts in the US. This role is responsible for sales revenue and customer success within the assigned clients; including upselling new software modules, sales maintenance and SaaS bookings, new consulting services, and training and education services.

Candidates must have experience working with clients and being responsible for supporting accounts and building strategic client relationships. They should understand important product features and functionality for clients, be able to position RELEX Solutions products and Services within the competitive landscape and ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction and renewal and expansion rates.

What you will be doing:

  • Build long term, strategic relationships with Customers by fostering a strong relationship as a trusted advisor.
  • Serve as the point of contact for client discussions by email, phone, and in-person.
  • Facilitate the development of strategic account plans for all assigned partners to meet or exceed assigned business goals.
  • Work with customers to identify opportunities to meet business needs and grow partnership.
  • Demonstrate track record developing and managing client partnerships and driving account activity.
  • Establish rules of engagement and operational escalation procedures to quickly identify and resolve challenges.
  • Serves as a focal point for customer services issue escalation and elevates unresolved customer issues as appropriate.
  • Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty with customers.
  • Develops compelling value propositions based on ROI cost/benefit analysis.
  • Identifies and utilizes appropriate internal resources to engage in sales cycles, including Solutions Sales capability for identified opportunities.
  • Identifies business plan and account strategy, key decision makers, key performance indicators, and budget constraints.
  • Maintains an accurate, comprehensive and updated forecast.
  • Serves as a resource for customer references and provides strategic customer insight including current state of business, additional business opportunities, and challenges faced by the customer.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Experience and success in selling high value, long lead time enterprise solutions software ($500K and above).
  • Experience and success in SaaS solution sales.
  • Understanding of broad competitive solution footprints for the Retail information systems marketplace is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management, Assortment Decisions, Space/Floor Planning Software, and related cost drivers preferred.
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Retail and CPG verticals.
  • Proven sales quota attainment track record ($500k annual quota achievement and above).
  • Proven business development skills and outstanding customer-focused Account Management skills.
  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated track record with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Retailers/CPG Teams.
  • High comfort level and presence with senior Retail/CPG executives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to discover and develop new opportunities
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and partnership skills.
